The amount of blood in hockey fights is amazing. I guess it is because they can get their gloves off very fast and so strike each other with bare fists. Also because of their protective gear the opponents can grab each other and there is no escape you hold each other and just repeatedly hit their face. All big guys and fit, also on blades so they can approach each other fast for a big hit and try to knock the other guy into the fence.
